Annotated Reading Enhancement System
Description
The project aims at creating a reading input enhancement system that identifies language constructions and offers explanations to these constructions to facilitate learners' comprehension of the reading text. The system is based on the Polk Extractor, which is capable of identifying most of the English grammar constructions from the English Profile Project (EGP). Explanations (teaching contents) for the EGP constructions are created in house. The system will be able to enhance noticing of the target grammar constructs and offer learning aids for the acquisition of the grammar points.
